Description
Studies from the Artist's Complete Guide to Facial Expression by Gary Faigin.
I'm finding the box-skull a lot more easy to grasp than the normal sphere-skull Loomis teaches. It makes forms and where the light hits more obvious. Also I guess helps with proportions further -- it's even more 'grid-like' this way.
I actually had to redraw most of this because of a crash... Not to worry, though: fun understanding it a little better this time around. Drawings are not sacred. Just do it again, do it better.

Yeah, looks good. I usually throw down an approximation of the midline for the eye connections and call it good. It's pretty cumbersome to use the circle affair, the box of the sockets and cheek bones are more important.
